I'm a journalist, copywriter, social media analyst, publishing consultant, and Head of Insight at InsightX, an intelligence and reputation risk agency.
Curiosity is my guiding force. I love learning and am always finding new courses on my passions, creating city guides for friends, and uncovering resources on art, history, and literature.
When I close my computer, you can usually find me in a bookshop, an art gallery, or at the bakery on a quest to find the perfect pain au chocolat.
PORTRAIT OF A WRITER
I'm a multi-curious who learned the meaning of the word "multi-hyphenate" only after leaving my hometown in Italy. I became an expat in 2015, chasing a dream of living abroad and studying journalism in London.
Since then, I've built a life across continents: from the London corporate comms scene to Rio de Janeiro, where I shifted to a freelance career, writing for sites and agencies about social media, lifestyle, the media industry, and travel. After a year travelling across Europe with my husband to find a new home, I'm now based in Paris.
To combine my passion for books with my work experience, I completed a postgraduate publishing program at Oxford Brookes, and after years of building my portfolio, I began sharing my publishing experience to support writers in getting their projects started and cultivating their knowledge and confidence.
In 2025, I founded More Than Just Views, a Substack newsletter for culturally curious people to explore the layers beneath travel, art, literature, and life abroad.
Recently, I began hosting writing workshops for both aspiring and seasoned writers, in Paris and online, to offer more support from inspiration to publication.

More Than Just Views is a newsletter and creative corner for culturally curious wanderers filled with upcoming events, travel tips and stories, and musings on culture, art, books, and life abroad.
I want to bring you the experience of wandering the streets of your favourite city in the world and peeking through the windows of local independent shops. Meeting in a cosy café for a cup of coffee and a traditional treat where we can chat about the latest book we've read or leaf through a magazine we found on the table, before heading out to visit a new exhibition or attend an event with one of our favourite creatives.
I hope to show you that there is more to experience in the landscapes we see on our travels, more to feel in the words of a book we love, more to see in the brushstrokes of a painting we admire… There is always More Than Just Views.

my journey
Hello, I’m Veronica Ferrari! Founder of More Than Just Views, I’m a writer, journalist, editor and publishing expert.
I was born and grew up in Italy, where I was forever ruined by the highest standards of coffee, pizza and ice cream! I have the extreme luck of having parents who love travelling and who showed me the world since I was little. In between holidays, I kept travelling through the pages of books and started to write my own stories. I studied as many foreign languages as I could, dreaming one day to be able to read all books in their original languages. I collect way too many magazines and always buy too many books, which is not ideal when you need to move across the world!
Over the years
After graduating in Communications and an internship in a publishing house, I chased my dream of living abroad and moved to London to study at the London School of Journalism. I started my career in the media industry while trying to absorb as much culture as possible from a city who never stopped to amaze me. I picked up all sorts of magazines and books for my collection across the city, on the tube and from bookshops and book sellers.
Little did I know that in all my wandering around London I would have met someone special, and that four years of London life later I would be swapping cappuccinos for iced coffees in Rio de Janeiro!
Moving to Brazil I took my career freelance: while I continue to work in social media listening, I started writing for sites and agencies about the media industry, lifestyle, politics, travels and more. My piles of books and magazines kept growing!
While forced to stay at home, I spent the year reading and writing and decided to start a Master in Publishing at Oxford Brookes University to learn more about the industry and all the practical aspects of publishing.
In 2022, I joined part-time InsigthX, a reputational risk agency, as Head of Insight, while continuing to expand my freelance work.
After leaving Rio and travelling around Europe for one year working as a digital nomad, I settled in Paris. In 2025, I started writing More Than Just Views, a Substack newsletter for cultural travellers and creatives, and hosting writing workshops online and in the city.
